Borneo Research Library
Tun Hj. Mohd. Fuad Stephens Borneo Research
Library was officially opened on 6 June 1980. The establishment of the
library was brought about by the Research Department of Yayasan Sabah
with assistance of a temporary committee consisting of the Chief
Librarians of MARA Institute of Technology, National Library,
Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, Sabah State Library and Sabah State
Museum.
Library Objectives

To act as an information centre for Malaysian
citizens in Sabah to undertake research

To promote and participate in the development
and advancement of Southeast Asian Studies
-
To serve as a source of research with
emphasis on Sabah and Borneo in general
-
To serve as information source for various
activities, projects ventures or interests of the Yayasan Sabah Group
and to maintain the institution’s archives

To serve as a one stop information centre for
the seven project areas and to consolidate research findings of
Research and Development Division, Yayasan Sabah Group
-
To serve and facilitate students in Sabah at
tertiary level

Smart partnership and collaboration with
other relevant agencies
The
Collection
Our collection includes:
Borneo Collection, General Collection, Reference Collection, Serials
Collection, Newspaper and Clippings Collection, Bound Newspapers
Collection, Pamphlets and Annual Reports Collection, World Bank
Publication Collection, Prospectus of Higher Education Collection,
Multimedia Collection and Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohammad's Collection.
